Darren Murphy’s play Irish Blood, English Heart, which ran at the Union theatre earlier this year, will transfer to the West End’s Trafalgar Studios 2 for a short run from 2 to 21 May.
An exploration of memories and how they can shape our lives, Irish Blood, English Heart tells of successful and charming comedian Ray and his brother Con, a London taxi driver who is struggling to keep his family together and is bruised by Ray’s success. Following their father’s death, they meet in a mysterious lock-up, where memories and unspoken truths come spilling out.
Caitriona McLaughlin directs a cast comprising of Howard Teale, Ian Groombridge, Oliver Gilbert and Carolyn Tomkinson.
Irish Blood, English Heart opens at Trafalgar Studios 2 following Lidless, which plays to 2 April, and Precious Little Talent, which runs from 5 to 30 April.
