The toxic comedy The Leisure Society has announced that it will extend its run in London by an additional week due to the overwhelming interest caused by cast member Agyness Deyn.
The supermodel will star alongside Upstairs Downstairs’s Ed Stoppard in the satirical comedy, which arrives in the West End at Trafalgar Studios 2 at the end of next month.
The Leisure Society was due to play between 28 February and 24 March, but will now run until 31 March.
Written by the award-winning Montreal playwright François Archambault, The Leisure Society is a satirical play about a self-obsessed yuppie couple whose luxurious lives spiral out of control when a dinner party turns into a drunken night of debauchery.
Deyn will make her stage debut as a promiscuous free spirit alongside Melanie Gray, John Schwab and Stoppard who is returning to the stage having previously starred in Hamlet, Arcadia and The Glass Menagerie.
The Leisure Society opens at Trafalgar Studios 2 following another tale of temptation and relationships gone awry, Sex With A Stranger. The drama, which stars Russell Tovey and Jaime Winstone, plays at the intimate venue from 1 to 25 February.
