Show Theatre Some Love This Valentine’s Day With a Theatre Tokens eGift

First Published 9 February 2021, Last Updated 15 February 2021

Flowers, chocolates, comically-sized teddy bears – we’ve all had our fair share of standard Valentine’s Day gifts. Why not break the mould this year and give your loved ones something special with a customised Valentine’s Day Theatre Tokens eGift – a present that indulges every theatre fan’s passion, whilst supporting an industry that’s in need of some love too.

It’s been a long time since we’ve sat down in front of the red curtain ready for a night of true entertainment at the theatre, and if you’re anything like us at Theatre Tokens – it’s felt like a lifetime!

Imagining yourself sitting in your seat waiting for the show to start – flicking through your programme and discussing what your friend of a friend had said about the directorial choices seems like a whole other reality.

Unfortunately, it might remain a fantasy – unless we can show the theatre some love.

Theatre has suffered huge losses since the start of the pandemic – with even some of the bigger venues in the country stating that there will be huge cutbacks that extend far beyond the end of lockdown.

However, despite all the doom and gloom, all is not lost. We believe that our Theatre Tokens eGift presents the perfect opportunity for you to show your friends and family, as well as your chosen theatre some love this Valentine’s Day. You can even choose from a specially designed Valentine’s Day range with famous quotes from iconic Shakespearean plays, Romeo and Juliet, Henry V and The Tempest.

Our new range of eGifts can be redeemed at more than 260 theatres nationwide, ranging from huge West End theatres to independent local venues. What’s even better is that there’s no expiry date – that’s right, no matter when we’re able to attend the theatre again, you’ll be able to use your eGift to book your tickets.

Theatre Tokens is part of the largest not-for-profit organisation in the theatre industry with more than 36 years of experience, so you can be sure that every single penny that you spend on your eGift is going to the right place – back into theatre.

If you’ve got a theatre lover in your life, or you’re a theatre lover yourself – there’s no more thoughtful gift for Valentine’s than one that helps to support the industry we all know and love. There’s been no better time in the history of the arts for the phrase ‘the show must go on’. If you believe in the power that theatre brings, help by buying a Theatre Tokens eGift this Valentine’s Day.

We now sell our famous TKTS Booth discounts online here at Official London Theatre.

We are now cancelling all performances up until and including 31 May 2020 to help us process existing bookings whilst we wait for further clarity from the government in terms of when we will be able to reopen.

We are so sorry that in these testing and difficult times you are not able to enjoy the show you have booked for and hope the following helps clarify next steps in respect of your tickets .

There is nothing that you need to do if your performance has been cancelled, but we do ask for your patience.

If you have booked directly with the theatre or show website for an affected performance, please be assured that they will contact you directly to arrange an exchange for a later date, a credit note/voucher or a refund. If you have booked via a ticket agent they will also be in contact with you directly.

We are processing in strict date order of performance, so you are likely to be contacted after the date you were due to go to the theatre. However, we want to reassure you that you will be contacted, and your order will be processed, but please do bear with us.

We’d like to thank everyone who has been patient and kind in dealing with their ticket providers so far and we are sorry that we cannot process your order as quickly as we would like.

Please do not contact your credit card company as that will slow the process down and put an additional burden on our box office and ticket agent teams.

In order for us to serve our audiences the best we can, please do not get in touch with your point of sale if you have booked for performances after 31 May. Please be reassured that if we have to cancel future performances you will be directly contacted by your theatre or ticket provider. Our producers continue to plan for all eventualities dependent on the individual needs of their shows and we will provide further updates on specific shows as and when they become available.

We look forward to welcoming you back into our theatres as soon as we are allowed to resume performances. In the meantime stay safe and healthy.
