Families are flocking to the West End to witness Mildred Hubble’s thrilling adventures at Miss Cackle’s Academy, in the stage adaptation of The Worst Witch.

Flying into London’s Vaudeville Theatre for 7 weeks only – just in time for the summer holidays – The Worst Witch is based on Jill Murphy’s original books, adapted for the theatre by Emma Reeves (who also adapted the stories for the award-winning television programme). Set in a school for up-and-coming witches, you’re invited to prep your potions and pick out your wands, because The Worst Witch tickets are sure to be sought out by families far and wide.

The Worst Witch centres on Mildred Hubble – an ordinary girl in an extraordinary school. But Mildred is unfortunately a little accident-prone, and as she’s learning her magical skills, she accidentally leaves a trail of mayhem in her wake. But not everyone is thrilled with Mildred’s unexpected arrival, including the stern-faced Miss Hardbroom and the conniving and jealous Ethel Hallow.

But as she enters her final year, Mildred and her fellow pupils will find themselves confronted with their most important mission yet, when an old adversary returns to the Academy. Soon, they’re at the centre of a battle that’s being fought not only for their future, but the entire world’s!

Directed by UK Theatre Award-winner Theresa Heskins, this magical adaptation includes original songs, music, magical staging – and a dose of Mildred’s unique brand of accidental chaos! Transferring to the West End following a hit run as Royal & Derngate’s 2018 Christmas Show, you can expect to be well and truly charmed!

The Worst Witch books have sold more than five million copies and have been adapted into TV series by the likes of HBO, ITV and CBBC, including the 90s ITV series and modern day CBBC series. There are currently eight titles in the book series. Writer Jill Murphy’s other hit books also include Peace At Last, Five Minute’s Peace, and A Quiet Night In.

The show features original music by Luke Potter, aerial direction by Vicki Amedume, choreography by Beverley Norris-Edmunds, and illusions by John Bulleid.

You won’t need charms or incantations to book The Worst Witch tickets in London’s West End – you can book them here on Official London Theatre.
