Charting Emilio and Gloria Estefan’s true love story – from their origins in Cuba to the streets of Miami, and subsequently international superstar status – On Your Feet! tickets are a must for fans and newcomers to their music alike! The musical plays a strictly limited season at the London Coliseum.
On Your Feet! features some of the duo’s most inspiring and iconic songs, including Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, Conga, Get On Your Feet, Don’t Want To Lose You Now and 1-2-3. The show has a book by Academy Award-winning writer Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman), and is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde). Choreography is by the Olivier Award-winning Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys).
The show centres on the sensational career of Gloria Estefan – winner of 26 Grammy Awards, who has sold over 100 million records worldwide. Emilio Estefan, a founding member of the band, Miami Sound Machine, first met Gloria through a mutual acquaintance – and was so impressed with her performance at a Cuban wedding that she was invited to join the band permanently. Gloria would go on to be the lead singer and headliner, fusing infectious Cuban rhythms with American pop and disco to create a brand new Latin crossover sound.
Christie Prades portrays Gloria Estefan, reprising her smash-hit performance in the same role on Broadway and the US tour. She stars opposite George Ioannides (Annie, Mamma Mia!; West End) as Emilio Estefan. At certain performances, the role of Gloria will be played by Philippa Stefani (Rent, National Tour).
