Roll up, roll up, for all the fun of a spectacular, star-studded, London Palladium pantomime: it’s Goldilocks And The Three Bears!
With an all-star cast led by the BBC’s Matt Baker and Paul O’Grady, Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, Janine Duvitski, Sophie Isaacs and Gary Wilmot – plus some stunning variety performers – Goldilocks And The Three Bears looks set to be ‘”just right”!
The fourth annual Palladium pantomime in a row sees Dame Betty Barnum (Wilmot) and her daughter Goldilocks fighting to save their circus, which is under threat from an evil rival circus owner. Luckily for them, they’ve got some madcap circus friends to save their Big Top from ruin.
In come illusionist Phil Hitchcock, high-speed roller-skaters The Skating Medini, Sascha Williams, and Europe’s youngest stunt rider: Peter Pavlov and the ‘Globe of Speed’! But it’s going to take a little more to save the day – it’s going to need three brilliant bears, in fact!
The show will transform The London Palladium into a sensational circus for a strictly limited 5-week season from Saturday 7 December until Sunday 12 January 2020. Further starry casting is expected to be announced in due course.
Baker will make his Palladium panto debut to play Joey the Clown, opposite O’Grady, who returns to the venue as the villainous The Evil Ringmaster. Clary will play The Ringmaster, with Paul Zerdin as Silly Billy, Nigel Havers as Daddy Bear and Gary Wilmot as Dame Betty Barnum.
Goldilocks And The Three Bears is produced by the Olivier Award-winning team behind previous Palladium pantomimes Cinderella, Dick Whittington, and Snow White. The show is directed by Michael Harrison, with choreography by Karen Bruce, set design by Ian Westbrook, and a returning team of costume designers including Hugh Durrant.
