A major new revival of the Olivier Award-winning, smash-hit West End and Broadway musical Five Guys Named Moe launches the new Marble Arch Theatre.

Created and directed by Broadway and West End legend Clarke Peters, best known for his role in the TV show The Wire, the show makes a triumphant return to the West End after 25 years away.

Packed with an uplifting soundtrack of soul, blues, gospel and r ‘n’ b, led by the multi-talented all singing, all dancing Five Guys, the piece was based on the toe-tapping, irresistible hits of the original king of Jazz – Louis Jordan.

Hits in Five Guys Named Moe include: Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t (My Baby), Early In The Morning, Choo Choo Ch’Boogie and Saturday Night Fish Fry, plus many more, all performed live on stage by a world class jazz band led by Steve Hill and Sean Whittle. Choreography, by double Olivier Award nominee Andrew Wright (Half A Sixpence), is inspired by Charles Augins’ original moves.

The story of Five Guys Named Moe centres on Nomax (Edward Baruwa), who is down on his luck. Newly single and broke, he is drinking his sorrows away. But in a wild night that he’ll never forget, Five Guys Named Moe – Big Moe (Horace Oliver), Little Moe ( Idriss Kargbo), Eat Moe (Emile Ruddock), Know Moe (Dex Lee) and Four-Eyed Moe (Ian Carlyle) – are on hand to help him party his way back to the straight and narrow.

Enter the Marble Arch Theatre, an atmospheric Spiegeltent designed specifically for the show, and be transported back to the enthralling Jazz bars of 1940s New Orleans, complete with a wonderfully authentic cocktail bar for pre- and post-show drinks.

The ultimate celebration to lift your heart and soul, this high-octane celebration is sure to put a smile on your face. The band is playing, the bourbon is flowing, so come and join the party!

Please note that children under the age of 3 cannot be admitted into the theatre. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult.
