Shakespeare’s famous ending is just the beginning of a riotous, new, pop-hit-fuelled musical, & Juliet, featuring the songs of Max Martin.

With a book by David West Read (the writer of Netflix’s Schitt’s Creek), & Juliet tickets will sell rapidly as the story is told through some of pop’s most famous songs, including hits from Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry.

& Juliet picks up where Romeo And Juliet leaves off. Romeo lies poisoned, Juliet awakens from her slumber, picks up the dagger and… decides to get a life instead. Off she sets to Paris with Nurse and her friends, a hilarious, comical journey of romance and self-discovery, accompanied by some of the biggest pop anthems of the past three decades.

This timely and timeless tale of a young independent woman will have to boogying along in your seat to timeless tunes including [Hit Me] Baby One More Time, Everybody [Backstreet’s Back], Love Me Like You Do and I Can’t Feel My Face. & Juliet promises to be a vibrant new musical like no other.

& Juliet will play a short run at Manchester Opera House in September-October 2019, before transferring to the West End to play performances in London at the Shaftesbury Theatre.

As well as appearing in the original London cast of Hamilton, & Juliet’s Miram-Teak Lee has previously appeared in the role of Claire DeLoone in On The Town at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. She won the Best Actress in a Musical at the Stage Debut Awards for her performance.

The new jukebox musical & Juliet will be brought to life by an award-winning creative team. Alongside director Luke Sheppard, who directed the Olivier Award-nominated In The Heights, the team includes the likes of choreographer Jennifer Weber, set designer Soutra Gilmour and costume designer Paloma Young.
