Thriller Live welcomes millionth customer

Published 30 January 2013

Six-year-old Channelle Koroglu made Thriller Live history last night as she became the millionth customer to see the West End show.

Self-confessed Michael Jackson fan Koroglu, who attends Selsdon Primary School in South Croydon, was watching the show with her mother Samantha for the first time when she was called on stage during the show to be presented with a bounty of Thriller Live presents to mark her milestone attendance.

After meeting the cast, which currently includes American Idol finalist Trenyce Cobbins, Koroglu received a millionth customer golden ticket plaque, a copy of the sold-out limited edition publication The Official Michael Jackson Opus, which contains never before seen photography, Jackson’s entire back catalogue of records and a collection of Thriller Live merchandise.

The young fan, who had luckily chosen to wear her Jackson-inspired Fedora hat, said: “This is a really great birthday present – I’m seven next week. I loved all the show well, all except for the scary zombies in Thriller!”

The West End tribute to the legendary late singer was created by Adrian Grant, a long-time associate of Jackson, and has been playing at the Lyric theatre since January 2009. Bringing to life the artist’s distinctive high-energy dancing and iconic songs, the long-running production combines video footage with performance to create an overview of the singer’s legendary career.
