Report puts West End stats in the spotlight

First Published 7 July 2010, Last Updated 7 July 2010

The Society Of London Theatre (SOLT) has today published the 2009 Box Office Data Report, which highlights and analyses the record-setting 2009 enjoyed by London’s Theatreland.

The encouraging figures achieved against the backdrop of economic doom and gloom are probed and explored in this annual publication, which collates a year’s worth of statistics from over 50 of London’s major theatres represented in SOLT membership.

The annual report includes information about ticket sales, attendance numbers, revenue, ticket prices and advanced booking, which are all examined in the context of genre, commercial and subsidised theatre and the surrounding events of 2009. As the report has been published for a number of years, the 2009 figures are also viewed in the context of long-term trends and compared with previous years.

Considered an invaluable tool for anyone working in or interested in the theatre industry, the Box Office Data Report can be purchased for £45 (plus postage and packaging). To order a copy call 020 7557 6700.

More information about the Box Office Data Report can be found in the Statistics, Publications and Reports section of the website.
