New website helps young performers

First Published 21 May 2009, Last Updated 21 May 2009

A new web-based event is offering budding young stage stars the chance to learn from professionals.

Young Performer Week, held from 8 to 14 June, allows young people interested in a career in the performing arts free access to expert advice through a dedicated website, www.youngperformerweek.com.

The website contains guidance and support from industry experts, audio and visual performer podcasts, interviews with young performers and professionals, plus a wealth of information and resources from professional bodies including the National Theatre, the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Mousetrap Theatre Projects and the Society of London Theatre.

Following the event www.youngperformerweek.com will remain live with links and information about the professional bodies involved in the event.
