Musical theatre school’s in for summer

First Published 7 July 2015, Last Updated 7 July 2015

While there are only two weeks until school’s out for summer, EduStage is encouraging budding musical theatre performers to swap classrooms for the rehearsal room and brush up their acting, singing and dancing skills as its summer school returns.

Taking place at Epsom Playhouse from 24 to 28 August, the week-long workshop will once again offer young people the incredible chance to work with professional directors to learn the skills involved in musical theatre performance.

Open to children aged eight to 13-years-old, the workshop will see participants learn songs from West End musicals and practise their drama skills. The end of the week will result in a fully staged, costumed performance of an original musical.

The workshop, which is open to everyone with all levels of experience, aims to be both fun and help children gain confidence in performance.
