More London scoops Chickenshed

First Published 10 May 2011, Last Updated 10 May 2011

Chickenshed, the inclusive theatre company based in North London, is to fly south for the summer when it performs two of its popular shows at The Scoop at More London in June.

The company will perform dance theatre show Crime Of The Century and interactive experience Tales From The Shed as part of the More London Free Festival, from 22 to 24 June.

Crime Of The Century, which played the Edinburgh Festival in 2009 and has since toured the UK, deals with issues of knife crime and gang culture amongst young people.

Tales From The Shed is Chickenshed’s regular show for children aged seven and under. Driven by children’s imaginations, the show invites participation as performers take their young audience members on a theatrical journey which explores children’s thoughts and experiences.

The More London Free Festival is, as the name suggests, a free festival which takes place at The Scoop, an outdoor amphitheatre at More London Riverside. Among the other music, film and theatre events taking place during the summer are two shows produced by The Steam Industry, including family favourite Around The World In Eighty Days.

All shows are free to attend and advance booking is not required.
