Know The Show with English National Opera

First Published 18 May 2011, Last Updated 18 May 2011

Budding singers aged 14 and over have the chance to improve their skills with English National Opera next month.

Know The Show is a unique event in which anyone with a passion for singing can work with a professional choral director and members of ENO’s chorus to learn excerpts from ENO productions.

This year’s event takes place at Bloomsbury theatre on Saturday 11 June at 14:00 and participants will learn choruses from Mozart’s The Marriage Of Figaro and Donizetti’s The Elixir Of Love.

Know The Show forms part of ENO: A Summer Celebration, which comprises a series of public events at the Bloomsbury theatre from 9 to 11 June.

Also suitable for families is Night And Day, a performance by ENO’s community choir, held at 19:00 on 11 June, followed by a staging of The Perfect Picnic at 20:30. A light-hearted tale of love and understanding at a summer Gala in the park, The Perfect Picnic is a comic opera set to the music of Mozart.

Tickets for Know The Show are available from ENO on 0871 472 0800, while all other events in A Summer Celebration can be booked through the Bloomsbury theatre on 020 7388 8822. Any participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
