EduStage summer schools return

First Published 27 June 2014, Last Updated 27 June 2014

Children interested in the performing arts have the chance to attend one of two summer schools with EduStage when the popular musical theatre workshops return to London for a ninth year running this August.

Offering budding young actors, singers and dancers the incredible opportunity to learn the skills involved in performing musical theatre, EduStage will offer two week-long workshops catering for a range of ages.

From 18 to 22 August, children aged 12 to 17-years-old can attend the summer school at Secombe Theatre in Sutton, while eight to 11-year-olds can participate from 26 to 30 August at the Epsom Playhouse.

Both workshops will offer participants the chance to work with professional directors and practise their drama skills before ending the week with a fully-staged costume performance of an original musical.

Working with familiar songs from hit musicals, the younger children will have the chance to learn songs from shows including Annie, The Wizard Of Oz and The Sound Of Music, while older children will sing numbers from popular shows including Wicked, Grease and Les Misérables.
