Ground-breaking new anti-cyber bullying play Cookies, commissioned as part of The Cyberscene Project, has released the show’s official trailer which features the voices of students affected by online bullying.
Written by Emily Jenkins and directed by Olivier Award nominee Anna Ledwich, the script has been developed in collaboration with 120 students through a series of theatre-based workshops which explore key issues facing young people in today’s digital landscape.
25 of the original 120 students will perform alongside a cast of established actors in Cookies, and each of their voices feature in the dramatic show trailer released today.
Looking at the consequences of sexting, revenge porn, radicalisation and the devastating effects of online abuse, Cookies considers the nature of online communication and the potentially serious legal implications of careless online actions.

The Theatre Royal Haymarket Masterclass Trust, who are producing the production, have worked in partnership with the Association of Colleges and children’s charity Kidscape to develop vital education resource packs which aim to combat cyber bullying in line with the national curriculum.
The GCSE Drama resource pack offers over 30 extensive theatre-based, written and creative activities for three AQA GCSE and A-Level Drama modules: Live Theatre Performance, Devising and Texts in Practice.
Their secondary PSHE resource pack offers teachers easy-to-follow exercises, built to specifically to support the PSHE Association curriculum and is supported by professional advice from Kidscape with additional links to; supporting websites, multi-media, popular culture and relevant charities.
