The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is looking for public panellists for the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard – and you can apply below!

Members of the public are needed for the following four judging panels: Theatre, Affiliate (smaller or non-West End London theatres), Opera and Dance. Panellists commit themselves to seeing all eligible productions in their categories (ranging from some 100 plays/musicals to some 30 operas). Panellists usually receive two free tickets to each show, plus a free show programme. The position lasts for a year, is unpaid, and no expenses are paid.

The judging period for shows that are eligible for the Olivier Awards 2019 runs from 21 February 2018, for approximately 12 months.

The Olivier Awards are the most prestigious awards in London theatre, and the 2019 ceremony will be held in a central London venue, with members of the panels invited to attend both the ceremony and the after-show party, where they will be able to mingle with the stars.

To have the chance to become a panellist, you will need to write a 150-word review of a production that you have seen in the last year, and provide a list of all the other productions you have seen in that period. Please note that only people aged 18 years and over are eligible to apply.

People chosen by Society of London Theatre to go through to the next stage of the process will be invited to attend a short interview at the SOLT offices in Covent Garden on either: Thursday 1 February, Monday 5 February or Wednesday 7 February 2018. Applicants will only be contacted if they have been selected for interview.

This is a wonderful chance to be at the heart of London theatre, as well as helping decide who wins London’s most prestigious theatrical prizes!

Applications for 2019 are now closed.
