Q. What is Official London Theatre’s New Year Sale?
A. Our New Year Sale encourages people to Get into London theatre with tickets for top London shows for performances in January and February. Since its launch in 2002, it has firmly established its place on the London theatre calendar and gets bigger and better every year!

Q. When does the promotion go on sale?
A. General booking opens at 10am on Friday 13 December. Mastercard cardholders can book early from 10am on Friday 6 December before the general sale. All Mastercard cardholders must be registered on Priceless.com to access the priority booking period.

Q. Which shows are participating in the New Year Sale?
A. Participating shows can be found here.

Q. How much do tickets cost?
A. Tickets cost £10, £20, £30, or £40, depending on the show. Not every show offers tickets at every price point, or for every performance, and there are no booking fees to pay.

Q. What performances are tickets valid for?
A. You can buy tickets for selected performances from 1 January to 13 February 2020, subject to availability. If you cannot find your preferred performance via the New Year Sale, full price tickets are available via our Theatre Tickets page.

Q. How do I book?
A. All tickets must be booked online via OfficialLondonTheatre.com/new-year-sale/ or via See Tickets on 020 7087 7910, unless booking during the Mastercard Presale period (from 10am on 6 Dec to 7.59am on 13 Dec), when tickets must be booked through Priceless.com. The New Year Sale cannot be booked at theatre box offices.

Q. Making an Access booking?
A. If you, or someone you know, has access needs, you can contact us ahead of time outlining your access requirements. The form will be available here from 10am on Monday 9 December until 6pm on Wednesday 11 December. You will then be contacted by the theatre directly on Friday 13 December.
Please note that not all shows are able to offer all four promotion prices and both ticket prices and performances are subject to availability. For access bookings, you will be offered the New Year Sale price or the access price – whichever is cheaper.
Throughout the New Year Sale, if you have access needs the most direct way of booking tickets is directly with the theatre as they know the venue best and can give you the best experience. The list of phone numbers and email addresses can all be found here from Friday 13 September.

Q. Can I pay with Theatre Tokens?
A. Yes. From general on sale on 13 December, you can pay with Theatre Tokens both online or via See Tickets on 020 7087 7910.

Q. How much will I pay in booking and postage fees?
A. Nothing! There are absolutely no fees to pay on New Year Sale tickets so the price you see is the price you pay.

Q. I have a problem with my booking. Who do I contact?

Additional Information

  • Customers can book for multiple shows but we reserve the right to investigate any suspicious bookings
  • The offer does not apply to tickets already booked and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
  • Tickets are subject to availability for specific performances only and not all shows offer tickets at all price points
  • New Year Sale tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged; however Ticket Insurance can be purchased during the booking process at an additional cost
  • The list of participating shows will change throughout the promotion as some shows sell out and new shows join
  • Some shows do sell out quickly, so we recommend having a few shows in mind before you book, and to be flexible with your dates where possible

We are now cancelling all performances up until and including 31 May 2020 to help us process existing bookings whilst we wait for further clarity from the government in terms of when we will be able to reopen.

We are so sorry that in these testing and difficult times you are not able to enjoy the show you have booked for and hope the following helps clarify next steps in respect of your tickets .

There is nothing that you need to do if your performance has been cancelled, but we do ask for your patience.

If you have booked directly with the theatre or show website for an affected performance, please be assured that they will contact you directly to arrange an exchange for a later date, a credit note/voucher or a refund. If you have booked via a ticket agent they will also be in contact with you directly.

We are processing in strict date order of performance, so you are likely to be contacted after the date you were due to go to the theatre. However, we want to reassure you that you will be contacted, and your order will be processed, but please do bear with us.

We’d like to thank everyone who has been patient and kind in dealing with their ticket providers so far and we are sorry that we cannot process your order as quickly as we would like.

Please do not contact your credit card company as that will slow the process down and put an additional burden on our box office and ticket agent teams.

In order for us to serve our audiences the best we can, please do not get in touch with your point of sale if you have booked for performances after 31 May. Please be reassured that if we have to cancel future performances you will be directly contacted by your theatre or ticket provider. Our producers continue to plan for all eventualities dependent on the individual needs of their shows and we will provide further updates on specific shows as and when they become available.
