Anna Friel stars as New York good time girl Holly Golightly in the stage adaptation of Truman Caopte’s classic novella Breakfast At Tiffany’s.

Breakfast At Tiffany’s is set in New York City, 1943, where William ‘Fred’ Parsons, a young writer from Louisiana, meets Miss Holly Golightly, a charming, vivacious and utterly elusive good-time girl. Everyone falls in love with Holly, including William, but he is poor, and Holly needs rich. Will she marry Rusty, the playboy millionaire, or José, the future president of Brazil? As war rages in Europe, Holly begins to fall in love with William… then her past catches up with her.

Capote wrote his novella Breakfast At Tiffany’s in 1958. It was adapted for the big screen and was released as the memorable film in 1961. Directed by Blake Edwards, the double Oscar-winning movie starred Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal and Mickey Rooney. This new stage production also includes the Academy Award-winning song Moon River, from the film’s soundtrack.

Friel, who plays Holly Golightly in Breakfast At Tiffany’s, rose to fame in long-running Channel 4 soap opera Brookside. Since leaving the Liverpool-set soap, she has appeared both on the London stage, in Lulu at the Almeida theatre, and on Broadway, in Patrick Marber’s Closer. The actress received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance in US television series Pushing Daisies.

American actor Cross is best known for his performances in the films Running With Scissors, Flags Of Our Fathers and Milk.
