Birmingham Stage Company explores the Frightful First World War using 3D Bogglevision, giving younger audiences the chance to see what WW1 was really like.

The story of Frightful First World War follows Angelica Taylor, a 13-year-old who gets sucked into the Horrible Histories website and must travel through the five years of the First World War.

The show includes 3D scenes depicting the sinking of the Lusitania, trench rats jumping into the auditorium and tanks rumbling into the stalls. Theatregoers also experience what it was like to go over the top, facing a hailstorm of bullets and mortars in no man’s land.

Frightful First World War is suitable for ages 11+

This show is presented alongside Woeful Second World War.
