Sunny Afternoon is the acclaimed Ray Davies musical charting the history of iconic band The Kinks.

Following a praised, sold out run at the Hampstead Theatre, the musical, set against the backdrop of a Britain caught between the conservative 50s and swinging 60s, plays at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Where did The Kinks explode from, how did it happen and what happened next? These questions are answered in the musical that takes in the euphoric highs and agonising lows of this legendary band that influenced generations of musicians and music lovers.

Sunny Afternoon features many of the hits that made The Kinks famous, including You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Lola. It is directed by Hampstead Theatre’s Artistic Director Edward Hall.
